June 29, 2017 – Irvine, California – Ms. America 2017 Oksana Vovk and family were welcomed at the Memorial Day Ceremony held by the City of Irvine in celebration of the Memorial Day Holiday. The Ceremony took place at the Colonel Bill Barber Marine Corps Memorial Park in Irvine, California on May 29, 2017.
“My Family and I were honored to attend the event”, Vovk said. “All attendees had a chance to memorialize and honor our amazing troops’ sacrifice to ensure we live in a free, democratic society. Those in attendance had an opportunity to write down a brief remembrance to be posted on a memory board. Many veterans and our amazing men and women currently in service were there, which was very uplifting and made you feel truly proud to be an American”.
