Arabtec Construction based out of UAE recently won two contracts for Damac Properties residential projects in Dubai. The total valuation for these projects is Dh600 million which is around $163 million.

The recent wins include a Dh353 million contract to built two residential towers and a DH269 million contract to build luxury villas in Damac’s Akoya Community.

The first contract job comprises of building two 30-storey residential towers home to 125,000 square meters of the luxurious apartments. These towers shall be named Rěva Residences and Věra Residences respectively and will be built in the Dubai Business Bay District.

The second contract job is to build villas in the Aquilegia cluster of Damac’s 55 million square feet Akoya mixed-use community in Dubai. This project is expected to be completed within the next 22 months.

With the onset of these two projects, there will be a surge in the job openings in the construction and facility management segments. A number of job openings are expected in the general blue-collar segment, construction and facility management being the major ones.
